SHIPPING ALL ACROSS THE US!

“Lasya” in the ancient language of Sanskrit means happiness, beauty and grace. Hello there - I am Kripa Bala - the owner of this store. Making jewelry and crafting/sewing gift items started to me as a hobby (to give myself some respite from work) and a way to creatively make personally tailored jewelry and gift items for friends and family. With immense motivation from my loved ones, I have took the leap of faith to take this passion a step further and open my first shop on Etsy in 2017 to share my creations with you all.

A lot of items displayed in my store are South-Asian inspired gift items, bags, accessories and jewelry. Particularly, many of the items in my store showcase the traditional art of drawing Kolams (Rangoli). While this popular art from South India is mainly drawn on floors; for many of us living outside India, this is not an entirely feasible option. Kolam art work on canvas that I display in this store is an attempt to adorn our homes with this traditional art form, if not on floors, at least on the walls. The Kolams that I paint on colorful and vibrant backgrounds recapitulates how a traditional Kolam would look as if it were painted on the floor with rice paste.

As you can tell from the products I offer, I like to try a variety of different things 😊 I handcraft every single item displayed in this store. I also photograph them and single-handedly manage all things necessary to run this store and I absolutely love doing all of this!

Pediatric cancer is a cause close to my heart and I have been donating 10% of every sale from my shop to support the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital located in Memphis, TN and will continue doing so.

Thank you so much for stopping by and please let me know if you have questions regarding any of the items displayed here ❤️
