Kalamkari necklace and earring set- Peacock motif in red

This item is a gorgeous hand-crafted Kalamkari necklace and earring set. The pendant is an exquisite Kalamkari peacock on a fabric that is embossed on canvas.

Kalamkari is a 3000-year old art form from India which involves hand-drawing designs such as flowers, animals or paisleys on a cotton fabric (KALAM means a pen and KARI means work). In this particular product, I have mounted a peacock drawn on a cotton Kalamkari fabric by carefully wrapping the fabric on a canvas and using a sealant to avoid any fraying. The necklace contains matching German Silver beads and bells. This piece finishes off with a barrel clasp that is easy to wear and take off.

Earring contains matching German silver beads and bells with lever-back earrings.

Care instructions

1) All jewelry require some TLC. Exert care when wearing and undoing jewelry.

2) Silver plated jewelry may tarnish when exposed to water. So try keeping them away from water.

3) Jewelry may also tarnish when exposed to air for a long duration. Easiest way to protect them is to store them in a ziploc and away from direct sunlight.
